Field trips

The Project provides local craft firms, architects, and city administration employees with opportunity to better study the conceptual restoration process, share experience in various aspects of repair and restoration work with German colleagues during a field trip.

In March 2014 the Project initiated one of such trips to Germany to which local architects and craftsmen were invited. Lviv citizens visited Leipzig, Dresden and Berlin, learned history and architecture of these cities and the basic principles and fundamentals of restoration.

The program of the visit included trips to restoration sites, visits to architectural bureaus, craft enterprises and masons, painters, plasterers, blacksmiths and tinsmiths workshops.
